In Breckenridge the Spring Fever Festival continues with events all weekend long. On Friday night head over to the Breckenridge Theater on Ridge Street to view the Festival of Film. The show starts at 7pm and they'll be previewing two films: The Scenic Route - a short flick about following your passions, and Antarctica: A Year On Ice - thats right, a film about a year in Antarctica (that would make a Summit County winter seem short!).
On Saturday in Breckenridge local and regional athletes looking for some fun will compete in the Imperial Challenge. The pseudo triathlon sends competitors on a six mile bike ride from the Breckenridge Recreation Center through the Peak 7 Neighborhood to the base of Peak 8. From there they'll grab an extra layer, lace up their boots and begin skinning up the mountain. They will work their way up the T-Bar all the way to the top of the Imperial Ski lift. Then with whatever energy they have left in the tank they will take off their skis and hike to the very top of Peak 8 followed by a race all the way to the bottom where cold beer and good food awaits!
Over in Keystone you'll find a crowd on Saturday enjoying a free concert in River Run Village. DJ Logic kicks things off at 2:30 followed by the smooth beats of Arrested Development.
Hope to see you around the county this weekend!
