- Occupancy is two people per bedroom plus two. Bedroom counts come from the Summit County Assessor.
- Advertising must include the license number and occupancy limit.
- Responsible Agent: a text-enabled agent must be available 24/7.
- Duplexes: the adjoining owner must receive written notice seven days before an application is filed.
- Parking and neighborhood rules: on-street parking isn't allowed, and noise, trash, lighting and pet rules apply.
- HOA and insurance: review HOA restrictions and confirm your homeowner's insurance coverage.
Taxes
The Town's 2025 guide lists a total lodging rate of 16.375%. Owners file monthly Town sales and lodging taxes, except properties listed only on Airbnb or Vrbo, where those platforms handle Town filing. Listings on other platforms require a Colorado sales tax license.
