Dillon Short-Term Rental Rules
The Town of Dillon requires an annual license for rentals under 30 consecutive days. Its STR page doesn't list a cap, but owners still need to meet its safety and advertising rules.
Last verified: November 3, 2026. Confirm current renewal dates with the Town.

What Buyers Should Know
- Confirm town limits. A Dillon address may not mean the Town regulates the property.
- Occupancy: two guests per bedroom, plus two more per property.
- Advertising: listings must show the license number and occupancy limit.
- Floor plan: required with the application and posted in the property. It must show safety equipment, breaker box locations and an egress plan.
- Safety supplies: first aid kits and flashlights should be available to guests.
- Parking: short-term rental guests no longer receive parking permits, and overnight town lot parking rates apply.
- HOA rules: review association documents before making rental plans.
Applying and Renewing
Applications run through MuniRevs, and the property owner must be a user on the account. Renew each year before the Town's deadline, since late renewals can bring fees or require you to stop operating.

This guide is general information, not legal or tax advice. Short-term rental rules, caps and fees change, and HOA covenants can be stricter than local law. Confirm the rules for a specific property with the licensing office, and with your attorney or tax advisor, before you buy or book guests.
